A small dragon with a big personality.
Disco is our curious, social bearded dragon and a much-loved part of Discovery Kids. He lives in the enchanted reading room, where children can visit, observe and learn about caring for a living creature.
And yes—Disco has his own currency.
Children can earn Disco Dollars for positive choices and use them for special rewards. It’s a playful way to recognize responsibility, kindness and community.

Part-time Grades 1–6 options may be available. School-year fees include regular after-school care, PD days and fall/spring break care.
Child care subsidy is available
Eligible Alberta families with children in full-time Kindergarten through Grade 6 may receive subsidy for licensed care outside school hours. Eligibility and subsidy amounts are determined by the Government of Alberta.

Discovery Kids is currently seeking approval to offer Alberta affordability grant funding for kindergarten-aged children. If approved, kindergarten fees will be revised accordingly.
