Discovery Kids welcomes Kindergarten through Grade 6 children from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Care around the school day
Our kindergarten schedule supports both AM and PM classes at Griffith Woods, with transportation arranged around the current school-day route.

PD days, fall break and spring break care are included in the monthly fee for children enrolled in our school-year program. PD-day drop-in care is $70 per child, per day when space permits.

In-house activity residencies
Visiting instructors may lead sports, dance, fitness, art, music and other hands-on experiences.
Optional Healthy Hunger lunches

The Discovery Zone

After a full school day, children need different things. Our 3,200-square-foot facility gives them room to choose what feels right.
Bright, open space for group games, active play, creative activities and meals.
Hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math projects.
A calm space for reading, homework, quieter activities and time with Disco.
Inside Discovery Kids
Spaces for every kind of afternoon.
Children can choose a lively creative project, make some music, settle in with a book or explore practical skills like cooking.
Specialists come to us.
In-house residencies can include art, drama, cooking, yoga, dance, fitness, sports and visits from community professionals.
Adventure beyond the building.
We aim for at least one field trip each month, often on PD days, along with neighbourhood walks and visits to nearby parks and green spaces.
Nature is our backyard.
The Paskapoo Slopes, nearby trails and Trinity Hills playground give children meaningful opportunities to move, explore and connect with their community.

Visit Tao of Peace An extracurricular without another cross-city drive.
Discovery Kids families will be able to access age-appropriate martial arts programming through Tao of Peace for an additional cost. The program supports mindfulness, fitness, confidence, compassion, respect and discipline, with transportation coordinated through Discovery Kids.
